Due to the need to adapt the existing facilities to accommodate the horizontal and vertical carbon-fibre stabiliser of the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner programme, structural and plant extensions were carried out at the Foggia Aerostructures Division’s facility to carry out preparation (sanding) and painting work on the new aircraft components. Particular care was given to the architectural aspect of the work.
